April 7-9 • Forgotten Children Campaign The Forgotten Children Campaign is GOING ON NOW-- PLEASE JOIN US!

For too many Americans, children in foster care are all but forgotten. The National and California Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Associations joining with Sonoma County CASA are working to change that through the Forgotten Children campaign. This campaign was created to raise awareness of foster children and to aid in the recruitment of much-needed CASA volunteer advocates who work together with the court system in the best interests of foster children. CASA launched the Forgotten Children campaign with a dramatic event on the Mall in Washington, DC, in the spring of 2008. Inspired by this event's success bay area CASA programs have staged our own bay area event. I hope you will attend and pass the word on about this special day.
-- Millie Gilson, Executive Director, Sonoma County CASA
