heARTs for Children Art Auction 2022

heARTs for Children is a collaborative offering of art, wine and culinary delights.

All proceeds benefit our mission of providing Court Appointed Special Advocates to speak up for abused and neglected children in the court, school and community.

Funds raised through the event will help us reach more children and families in Sonoma County’s overburdened child welfare and juvenile justice systems who need a Court Appointed Special Advocate CASA.

Please note that we are taking every precaution to protect the health of our community from Covid-19. To ensure your safety, we will be following all guidelines established by state and local officials in regards to masks, social distancing, capacity, and sanitization at our event spaces. In accordance with these guidelines, we ask for all guests ages 16+ to be fully vaccinated in order to attend this event. Ticketholders are asked to wear masks while indoors.

CASA ANNUAL FUNDRAISER EVENT
child-donation

Every year since the inception of the organization CASA of Sonoma County has held an annual fundraiser event in the Spring. It is a festive themed evening gala, with dining, wine tastings, live and silent auctions plus raffles. Usually about 300 CASA supporters gather for this fun evening to support the CASA Program and its mission to advocate for positive futures and outcomes for foster children.

CASA is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization committed to serving needy and low-income abused, neglected and abandoned children in Sonoma County who come before the Juvenile Court for protection. For 21 years, CASA of Sonoma County has recruited, trained, and supervised Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) who have advocated for the rights and well-being of Sonoma County’s foster children in the courtroom, in school, and in the community. CASA is a unique, one of a kind program in Sonoma County. We are a citizen-driven organization, which is legally recognized by the Sonoma County Juvenile Court.

The funds raised with this event allow us to maintain and expand our services to stabilize and increase the number of children served each year. Your investment and participation help over 250 children in foster care every year whose most significant advocate and mentor may be their CASA volunteer. It costs approximately $1,500 to recruit, train and match a volunteer with a child in the system. All funds received by CASA are put to immediate use with only 18% used for administrative costs.

CASA SPRING MATCH CAMPAIGN ~ We raised over $120,000

The Board of Directors and staff remained committed and ready to recruit, train and place more child advocates into the life of more children in foster care. Yet, we had struggled with whether or not we should hold a fundraising event for the year 2021.

Much to our pleasure and gratitude, the Martin-Parker Family heard our concerns and stepped forward to provide CASA with a generous $50,000 match donation. Due to the generosity of the Martin-Parker Family Foundation we raised over $110,000 with this campaign. We are reminded once again what a wonderful, caring, and loving community we live in.

Thank you for showing them that in these uncertain times, there are people who care about them and their futures!
